  2. worm2 Says:

love the show. if worms had any money we’d be “big tippers”…sorry we’re dirt poor. kudos are free though. keep up the great work!

  3. Soap Box Says:

Funny. The same thing happened to me.

Well, not really. But my trip to G’burg wasn’t that great either.

    For different reasons.

    Of course.

And there weren’t any cops involved.

  4. moonstarer Says:

Well, at least it’s nice to know your doppleganger is a murderer, isn’t it?

  5. tangerine Says:

Wow. Waited so long for this ep.
    Was afraid July was lost.

This was a wonderful episode, great story.
    Defiantely worth the wait.

I cannot say enough about the medium you choose to use as animation.
Appreciating the hard work for each episode.

  6. inkslave Says:

Happened to me once too, got mistaken for a bank robber. Thankfully the bozo’s dye pack went off while I was sitting in a squad car in another part of town. Nice way to break up the day.

  7. Albert Says:

I enjoyed this very much and am glad to be on the mailing list. As for being mistaken for a criminal, well, now you’ve got a taste of what it is to be Black (just a taste though).

  8. Darren Says:

While you were wandering in the woods, I expected some hilbilly to jump out and say, “Boy, you got a purty mouth!”

  9. Crazy Ivan Says:

Great. I love the part with ghosts. Our minds are just so tricky sometimes.

  10. chase Says:

The last shot was priceless … just, absolutely, priceless. Great work. Funniest show on television! (of course, my opinion doesn’t matter any more 🙂 …

Hope it’s not a typical Boston summer … rainy and cold, punctuated by insufferably hot.

  11. GinGin Says:

another excellent episode. i’ve never been to gettysburg….
and i think i’ll keep it that way.
just gotta know, jerry, who was that guy watching you taking your shower????

  12. mot Says:

I was listening to my police scanner one night and heard there was someone on my street the cops were chasing, he was wearing a baseball hat and a thick winter jacket with blue jeans, so i looked outside an i seen a cop running down my street, the time was 1:45am the usual time i go out to by my beer I’m nocturnal and love my beer and i cant buy beer after 2am. I just happen to wear a heavy coat and a baseball cap an jeans that time of year (winter) so I made my way to my car to the store, got my stuff an back home without any interference. True story. 🙂 I think if i were wih Jerry i would have been spending time with my new jail buddy’s an Jerry and the other guys 🙁

That flashlight/soldier-ghost scene made coffee come shooting out of my nose. Strange thing is, I wasn’t drinking any coffee.

    Keep up the great work.

  16. Mitch Says:

    Jerry….Genius once again.

Thanks for making me laugh…(even though I probably should be working)….. 🙂

  17. David Says:

funniest episode since ‘ who’s that guy ? ‘ Made me laugh out loud.
I guess he got the full experience. I wonder if he will ever have his spiritual awakening. Glad I found your stuff, esp the music.

  18. Balthazar Moutarde Says:

I doff my bowler to you, gents. A superb episode. My favorite since Who’s That Guy? The little bit at the end is pricelss. Also love the genuine period music – it’s just like I remember it. Ah those were the days!

  19. Jenny Says:

Glad to hear you had a great vacation!

Thanks for the email; we’ve been eagerly awaiting the new episode. Loved the power walker and your friend in the shower. 🙂

  20. Fritz Says:

Another great episode Jerry. I have not been to Gettysburg since 1966. They tell me its changed

  21. Duckmark Says:

Inspiring! Gotta run … I’m off to Gettysburg!

  22. Jerry Says:

Thanks All~Orrin & I appreciate the wonderful comments.
I was watching TV this weekend and found out that
Gettysburg was voted the 6th most haunted place in America.

    Check it out:

  23. Mark Says:

So you gave the old alien anal probe to Steven Seagall huh? Jerry should feel lucky that it wasn’t him on that table!

  24. Jerry's bloodthirsty doppleganger Says:

Oh, man. Those coppers are drawn to you like flies to a porchlight. But like a porchlight, you’re bright enough (pun intended) to know it’s just coincidental; Orrin wasn’t spraying you with “COP ON!” or anything. Now that I’m done with that…
OMFG!!!! 😀 You got OWNED by those cops! This really IS like a Twilight Zone episode. I knew they would come for me. That’s why I moved to Boston, where I can cause more havoc!!! Best episode of ALL of them, so much effort went into it. I was honored that you put me in there. Although I do believe I cut the power in that bar before I did the shooting so I wouldn’t be identifiable via hidden camera. So where exactly DID you get that footage? I need to know.

  25. Jerry's bloodthirsty doppleganger Says:

Hey Folks, This one is really wild, but make sure you read the info below before you view the video and turn up the volume if you can. … all » This is a car advertisement from Great Britain. When they finished filming the ad, the film editor noticed something moving along the side of the car, like a ghostly white mist. They found out that a person had been killed a year earlier in that exact same spot. The ad was never put on TV because of the unexplained ghostly phenomenon.

Watch the front end of the car closely as it clears the trees in the middle of the screen and you’ll see the white mist crossing in front of the car then following it along the road….Spooky!

Is it a ghost, or is it simply mist? You decide. If you listen to the ad, you’ll even hear the cameraman whispering in the background about it near the end of the commercial. A little creepy but it seems to be authentic!

  26. Monica Says:

Fantastico, Jerry! Your episodes remind me of Seinfeld…
You have the ability to create remarkable stories with the most simple facts of life!!! You are a master at using your U.P.D. (Unique Powerful Difference)!!! Thanks for making my day! Until the next one…

  27. Jack Says:

Great minimalist trip to the dark & creepy side. Like a good Hitchcock, begins benignly before entre of the nightmare. Bravo!

  28. Mark Monlux Says:

A blanket? Not a sleeping bag but a blanket? I’m going to assume that if you did not have the forsight to bring a sleeping bag, the the blanket must be an old thing that floats around in the trunk to keep the spare from rattling.

  29. Old Man Musings » Full Civil War Experience Says:

[…] It’s time for another wonderful story from It’s JerryTime! This time around, Jerry goes on vacation to Gettysburg, in this episode entitled ‘The Strange Trip‘. Nothing says like getting the full experience like sleeping under the stars at an old battlefield! Be ready to pull the covers up over your head. Posted In: Humor, Cartoon   |   […]

  30. Mitch from Boston Says:

Hey Jerry, did you realize that Ze Frank was on the upper deck of the tour bus with you? He’s the guy at You should have gotten his autograph!

If you already did, then kudos!

  34. HeyJB Says:

I’m strangely attracted to the cop. Is that David Hasselhof? Oh, and the screaming baby was a fox. Or possibly a fox being throttled by a civil war ghost. I hear the same sound nightly.

  35. chris Says:

Another brilliant episode. Here’s to you Jerry and Orrin. Well done. We had an unusual vacation experience too that ended up as articles in two newspapers and a call from the “Montel Williams Show”, but I don’t know if our story warranted all of the attention. Ah, the press.
It was a hoot to see the Howie Oil bench that I walk past every few days in the Medway Plaza. Great eye for kitsch.

  36. Courtney Says:

Pennsylvania is an odd place with odd people; I was born and raised there. I took a trip to gettysburg one summer when I was younger, we did the same as you and walked around the battle field to get the same feeling of the battle and walking through the woods we heard some strange sounds and overall creepy feeling. Oddly enough we got lost as well. I enjoy your show. Take care.

  37. Nathan Miller Says:

    Great as always…
I was recently in Southeast Asian, had an experience with a tour guide and his 63 year old uncle on the back of a moped…
    good times…

  38. Jim Says:

I laughed out loud. I laugh just looking at the picture of Jerry in the blue car on the opening billboard/postcard.

  39. JimG Says:

I showed this episode to a few different groups of teachers that I was working with. We live within an hour from Gettysburg. We roared with laughter. The gape-mouthed guy watching the bus drive buy, the ghosts in your flashlight, the “thunk” sound when you were thrown onto the hood of the cruise… You must have such a fun time making these.

We could have spent the hour watching all your episodes but instead I used your site as motivation for them to learn how to use RSS.

Thanks for your hard work on these. I’m sure you have no idea of the amount of pleasure these bring to people.

  40. OneOldLady Says:

Jerry, you are one strange dude. Sleeping outdoors, under a picnic table? Are you that cheap that you didn’t want to spring for a hotel room? I’m not buying the “I wanted to EXPERIENCE the real Gettysburg” explanation.

So, this is your second police/crime-related episode, but so far you’ve managed to escape the slammer. Are you that lucky, or do you know someone in powerful places?

Still loving the animation style, BTW, even if the stories aren’t quite matching up to the earliest ones!

  41. Debbie King Says:

    I think I love you…
Seriously, though, I love watching your videos. I just discovered you today, and you are really impressive. I love the medium you use. Great, great stuff 🙂

You guys are great! I have come around to check on your new movies from time to time, and I always enjoy your weird deadpan sense of humor and the various bad luck episodes of Jerry’s life. It is a lovely thing to share laughter with the world. Keep up the very funny work. Thanks a lot.
