The Party Crasher
There are two major themes in The Party Crasher.
Glass table injuries is one of them.
The other is party etiquette. In the summer months, I went to a flea market and bought a used cassette by etiquette expert Letitia Baldridge. I listened to this primer on manners and in one part, she spoke about how to act if you wreck something at a party, whether it’s your fault or not. I remembered that and it helped in this situation.
There is too much rudeness in society. The great actor John Barrymore said it best: “Social conduct was not designed to “impress” people; but by considerate behavior, we acknowledge their existence, which everyone needs to be assured of.”
